My Role

• Conducted an in-depth interview in French with the creator of the @memesdelyon Instagram page (100k+ followers).

• Analyzed engagement patterns to uncover how “hyperlocal humor” drives community interaction.

Methods

• Research Techniques: Semi-structured interviews, social media engagement analysis.

• Tools: Instagram analytics, thematic coding.

Findings

1. Humor tailored to regional and cultural contexts increased engagement threefold.

2. Personal details shared by the creator as well as offline rituals strengthened the bond of the digital community.

• Insights supported content strategies, helping creators build stronger, more engaged digital communities.
